India Reaches to Bestead Turkey: Sends NDRF Team along with support provider Material

After the earthquake in Turkey, many countries are coming forward to help Turkey. India has also sent relief material to Turkey along with the NDRF team.

On Monday, three earthquakes occurred one after the other in Turkey and due to this there has been devastation in the country. It is being told that more than 3000 people have died so far.

At present, the rescue operation is going on in Turkey. PM Modi expressed regret over this natural disaster in Turkey and promised to help his friend country.

India Provided Help

Hours after the Prime Minister’s Office announced, India has sent the first batch of earthquake relief material to Turkey in an Indian Air Force aircraft.

The shipment included a specialist National Disaster Response Force search and rescue team consisting of male and female personnel, skilled dog squads, medical supplies. Also included were advanced drilling equipment and other critical equipment needed for the aid effort.

Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Arindam Bagchi tweeted that India’s Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) capabilities are active.

3400 People Died

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has ordered officers to help the people of Turkey who were affected by the earthquake and also gave condolences to family for their loss and prayed for those who got heavily injured.

Narendra Modi said in a Twitter post that he was “Anguished by the loss of lives and damage to property due to the earthquake in Turkey.” Condolences to the bereaved families. May the injured recover soon.”

“India stands in solidarity with the people of Turkey and is ready to offer all possible assistance to cope with this tragedy”, Prime minister said by tagging a tweet by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the quake.
